Scott started his working life as a research scientist where he studied arthritis, brain disease and medical archaeology. This was followed by a move into the corporate world where, after a short period as a workforce analyst, Scott focused primarily on human resources & change in the education, manufacturing, leisure and utilities sectors. During this time, where he rose to director level and chair of the Scottish HR forum, Scott’s scientific and technology interests also lead to him being appointed as a board member of an international science festival.  Following a complex transformation programme, where Scott lead a successful change programme he was asked to join KPMG (later to become Atos Consulting) where he joined the largest people and change consultancy practice in the UK. This lead to 10 years in international consulting specialising in HR, Change and Transformation which included 2 Olympic Games (Beijing and London) and multiple award-winning IT transformation programmes. During this time Scott became well known in the media writing many articles and providing commentary in the press and specialist magazines.

Scott is an international keynote speaker, writer, coach and consultant who works with companies and individuals from all over the world and across the business sectors. He is also a visiting lecturer at several leading business schools and universities.
